Nadal Federer

On Sunday, Roger Federer again will try for the only Grand Slam title to elude him, and again the opponent will be his nemesis, Rafael Nadal. It’s the fourth consecutive time the world’s best player has faced the world’s best clay-court player at Roland Garros, and Federer is 0-3.

Nadal will attempt to become the first player since Bjorn Borg in 1981 to win his fourth consecutive French Open title.

NBA Finals Game 1

Bad news for us Lakers fans.. Boston Celtics outplayed the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, winning 98-88. Boston’s reserves outplayed their counterparts and Phil Jackson took the blame Friday.

I really shortened the minutes of the bench last night, so that’s not their fault about not scoring and no productivity. The adjustments that our young players will make, our bench players will be noticeable as we go through.

Kobe Bryant, acknowledged to be NBA’s best closer, looks to bounce back in Game 2 on Sunday night. He shot 9-for-26 and scored 24 points, a sub-par performance from the game’s MVP. Bryant made no excuses, saying the Boston defense didn’t do anything he didn’t expect.

I get those looks again, I’m foaming at the mouth. I just missed some bunnies. I just missed some really, really good looks. I’ll be thinking about those a little bit tonight. Those little mid-range jumpers that I get, I’ve got to knock those in.

The Lakers need more than a better shooting performance from Bryant. Improved board work would certainly help.

By the way, I’m not really a big fan of the Lakers, but when hunnie bought this sexy “I’m A Laker’s Girls” vintage tee, I immediately became one!
